Hi, I'm Kim

Where passion and curiosity intersect

I never thought I could be a scientist in any capacity because I am a goofy nerd and, growing up, proper scientists were stoic and severe individuals. As I've grown older and worked closely with real scientists, I've learned that the scientific community has so much more personality now than ever before. Knowing I don't need to sacrifice my personality to follow my passions has bolstered my desire to break into astronomy.

Since I was young, I've chased the question: are we alone in the universe? This is the question that gets me through full-time school and full-time work. This question drives me to pursue three undergraduate degrees through Arizona State University Online. This question has me setting my sights on pursuing a dual-title PhD with the University of Washington in Astronomy and Astrobiology.
